Press Bio
Mathias Rehfeldt is a German multi-genre composer and organist based in Munich. His body of work spans choral, orchestral, organ and chamber music — performed and premiered nationally and internationally. As a film composer he has scored over 200 productions for cinema, television and streaming platforms, including award-winning soundtracks for ARD, ZDF, Arte and Netflix.
As an organist Rehfeldt is known for his unconventional silent-film improvisations that have taken him to the USA, Canada and across Central Europe. With his immersive live performance INFINITUM — a one-hour cinematic soundscape combining church organ, electronics and visuals in sacred spaces — he expands the concert experience beyond the traditional stage.
Rehfeldt sees himself as a bridge-builder between the musical past and the present, transposing the emotional depth and sonic diversity of Romanticism into a contemporary language.
